On November 30, 2020, Pastor Léonard Gonitoua, President and Co-Founder of P.A.S. HOPFAN, received for the second time an honorary distinction from the Central African State, after the Order of Central African Merit in 2018. This time, the Pastor was decorated with the dignity of Commander in the National Order of Central African Recognition, on the eve of the celebration of the anniversary of the proclamation of the Central African Republic on December 1st.
Several activities carried out in 2020 by the NGO under the leadership of Pastor Gonitoua earned him this decoration, including the establishment of a specific protocol at the HOPFAN (House of Prayer for All Nations) church in Boy-Rabe (Bangui, CAR), to ensure compliance with barrier measures and other preventive measures at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and to allow the continuation of worship services; the delivery of malaria drugs to those most in need; and a circumcision operation for the poorest families (including Peuhl families) in Sibut, a few kilometers from the capital city of Bangui, accompanied by the distribution of clothing to the most needy.
Other leaders of P.A.S. HOPFAN and the HOPFAN church in Boy-Rabe were also decorated on November 30 for their active involvement in these activities, among others.
Through Pastor Gonitoua and these people, we know that it is the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who has been glorified, for nothing we do is achieved without Him to whom we owe everything. So may He be glorified.
Shalom.
