GOD called him in Bangui, Central African Republic, while he was 10. He was baptized the following year, in 1982.
In 1994, GOD sent him to the Democratic Republic of the Congo where he served the LORD in several churches and received biblical training.
He became Pastor in 1996 and Evangelist in 1998.
He returned to Bangui in 1996 where he led the Spiritual Awakening Mission church (Mission réveil spirituel, MRS) until October 2018. Since then, he has been leading the first church established by the NGO, the House of Prayer For All Nations church (or HOPFAN church), which is based in Boy-Rabe, in Bangui.
Pastor Gonitoua also serves GOD as a Prophet and interprets dreams and visions revealed by the LORD.
He is affectionately called “Shepherd” due to his commitment to feed JESUS CHRIST’s sheep as the LORD did.
He hosts four programs, respectively at the national television, the national radio station and two private radio stations (“La Voix de l’Evangile” – The Voice of the Gospel – and “ESCA, Voix de la Grâce” – ESCA, the Voice of Grace) in the Central African Republic, to spread the Word of GOD, urge everyone and advise them in relation to our daily lives. His target groups are those who are seeking to know GOD or looking for answers to their questions.
Pastor Gonitoua has co-authored (under the name of Léonard G.) the poetry book, Le Chemin de la Vie with Suzie N., Vice-President and Co-Founder of P.A.S. HOPFAN, which was published with Xulon Press. A more reduced, English version of the book (The Way Towards Life), is also available and was published with WestBow Press. He has also co-authored with Suzie N. the main titles of the album of Christian sons and poems, Luc 8:50 / Luke 8:50 and the album of Christian poems, Adonai, Deut. 11:24.
He is married with seven children, and lives in Bangui.
